Born and raised in Arizona, Dr. David Skinner has always believed that medicine should feel like a true partnership. One rooted in listening deeply, understanding the whole person, and empowering patients to reclaim their vitality. With a rare combination of rigorous scientific training, entrepreneurial vision, and a heartfelt commitment to integrative healing, he has spent his career bridging the best of conventional medicine with the most advanced regenerative and functional approaches available today.

Dr. Skinner’s educational journey reflects his passion for both discovery and practical care. He earned his BS in Biology summa cum laude and an MBA in Finance from Arizona State University, followed by his MD and PhD in Medical Pharmacology and Neuroscience from the University of Arizona. His doctoral research explored the mechanisms of migraine pain, giving him an early foundation in understanding complex neurological and inflammatory processes.

After completing his neurology internship at the University of Arizona, Dr. Skinner made a deliberate and pivotal choice: he stepped away from the traditional hospital grind to forge his own path in medicine. Recognizing the overwhelming demand and the limitations of conventional models, he founded Southern Arizona Urgent Care, which grew into Arizona’s top-rated urgent care network—serving more than 60,000 patients annually across nine locations—before successfully selling it. This success allowed him to focus fully on creating the kind of comprehensive, patient-centered care he knew was missing.

Driven to fill a critical gap in healthcare, Dr. Skinner became a general practitioner who could serve patients entirely—not just manage chronic conditions like hypertension or diabetes with medications, but address root causes and guide transformative, foundational change. His vision has always been to educate and empower people to get off unnecessary medications, restore their healthiest selves at any age, reverse disease processes (such as osteoporosis in menopausal women), and help them reclaim the energy, strength, and vitality they enjoyed in their twenties and thirties.

He continues to deepen his expertise as a Functional Medicine Hyperbaric Clinician (FMHC). Through his concierge practice and state-of-the-art Immediate Care Arizona facility, he offers unhurried, 24/7-access care that blends functional, integrative, and holistic principles with advanced diagnostics, customized IV therapies, bioidentical hormone replacement, hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) up to 3 ATA, and more.

Today, Dr. Skinner leads RegenMED MD in Tucson as a pioneer in regenerative medicine. He is the only physician in Tucson who is part of the prestigious Cell Surgical Network—the international group founded by Dr. Elliot Lander and Dr. Mark Berman, the true pioneers of autologous adipose-derived stem cell therapy.
